Our Ministries

With God’s guidance, Bethesda United Methodist Church reaches out and welcomes all by offering the gospel and God’s mercy throughout the community and beyond. The congregation will be empowered through praise and worship, teaching, fellowship, and stewardship to do outreach and ministries.

Singing not your strength? Please let Alfonso know if you play a musical instrument and would like to share your talent during one of our worship services.

Hope you can join us.

Mission Community Outreach

Mission and community outreach are two very important areas at the heart of our congregation. If you’re looking for a project with a good cause that will make a difference in your world, or even just in your neighborhood, become involved at Bethesda!

The Ugly Quilts group meets in the winter on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 am. The group compiles fabric, reading materials, and winter weather accessories and then creates warm care packages to help the homeless in the winter. No sewing experience necessary! Please call 378-2313 for more info.

Bethesda’s congregation collects non-perishable food items to stock the shelves of the food pantry located at the Neighborhood House in Middletown. To contribute to the collection, simply bring a non-perishable food item to church with you on Sunday morning and place it in the Helping Hands tub, located next to the door of our preschool Sunday school classroom.

Our Helping Hands Committee frequently participates in mission projects that benefit our community on both local and global levels. Information on how you can help is published in our Sunday bulletin on a weekly basis.
